Nikki came to us as a rescue, but instead of us rescuing her, it was she that rescued us. She traveled with us all over the US after starting her journey with us in Florida. We have been to Georgia, where our family is, to Washington state, where she enjoyed herding sheep as a treat, to Colorado, where she learned she didn’t like snow, and finally to Virginia, where she discovered more snow. It has been a true love affair from the beginning when we first saw her blue and half blue/red eyes. She brought so much joy, happiness, and love to our family and her absence is being felt very heavily. I am glad that she has returned home to us in physical form, but we wait anxiously to see her again over the Rainbow Bridge.
